About Virtual Classes

 

I'm happy to announce that, starting Wednesday, March 25, we'll be holding some of our classes LIVE ONLINE on a regular basis using the Zoom web conferencing platform.  This will help us continue exercising while our in-person classes are on hold.  See schedule further below.  

To participate in these online classes:  

  • You will need to have access to a computer and the internet.

  • You will be exercising out of your own home.  All you need is some space to move.  As much as possible, we will be doing workouts similar to our in-person classes.

  • You will need to download the Zoom player ahead of time.  No need to create an account, and using Zoom is free to you.  To download Zoom, go to https://zoom.us/support/download.  Upon accessing this page, the download should start immediately, and you should see it downloading in a button displayed in the lower left-hand corner of your screen.  Once it has finished downloading, double-click the same button in the lower left-hand corner to initiate installation.  You should now be ready to use Zoom.

  • To join any class, use the following link, which will take you directly to the class:  https://us04web.zoom.us/j/9781465382.  Text Claudia at 415-990-7795 to get the Zoom pass code.

  • Please try to join class 5 to 10 minutes before starting time.

  • Once class starts, you will see and hear me leading the class, and you can follow along in your home (make sure you have your audio volume turned up on your computer).

  • So that you can see my video window at all times, pin the window by first clicking on the 3 dots (...) in the upper right hand corner of the window, then selecting the "Pin Video" option.

  • These classes will be live!  You will be able to see other participants in small windows along the side of your screen.  Out of courtesy to others, please mute your computer, as any sounds from participants will cause their window, instead of the instructor's, to show as the main window (unless you have already pinned the instructor's window).  

  • Classes are free, but if you want you can give a donation (suggested donation per class is $3, $5, or more).  

If you have any trouble downloading the Zoom player, we will try to help you ahead of class time, either with email or over the phone.  You can email with questions.  It is strongly recommended you download the player ahead of time so there's enough time for trouble shooting, and you will be ready to join in at the scheduled class time.
