GLUTES AND CXCORE WORKOUTS

It's time to get specific with the Glutes and Core Class and target the body parts that tend to get lazy.  When you think that most people sit for a significant portion of the day, it's understandable how glutes get under-utilitzed.  The gluteus maximus (our strongest butt muscle) is one of the largest and most powerful muscles in the body, and represents the building block of an overall strong physique.  Focusing on the glutes, we are also working on the rest of the lower body too, and while getting strong, we are avoiding potential injuries.

A strong core, from our shoulders all the way to our hips, will also improve our athletic performance and can deliver that ripped look.  A lot of the exercises are done using the mat, and while they predominantly target abs, we are sculpting all other muscles in the core, including hips, glutes, and back.

Teresa will teach a CWworks format, with music and she will do fun routines that incorporate Glutes isolated moves.

BarreClass_edited.jpg
BARRE FITNESS

Barre class is named for the primary piece of equipment:  the barre, as we all home we use a Chair as a substitute for the barre.  If you’ve ever been in a ballet studio, this piece of equipment will be familiar.  You’ll also use other equipment, like a mat — which you’re familiar with if you’ve ever tried yoga — or free weights.  You can pick how heavy you want your weights to be, and your instructor will walk you through the proper use of each piece of equipment.  They’ll explain how you can integrate the equipment into the class to get the best workout possible.

Equipment for this class:

Ballet Barre / Chair, a pair of weights, and chair

TRX FOR YOGA

Suspension training makes advanced poses more accessible by eliminating any fear of falling, boosting essential core strength and guiding you toward optimal alignment.  For the more experienced yogi, a TRX strap can introduce more play into your practice, as it assists you in safely working toward challenging poses like inversions, arm balances and backbends that may seem scary or complex in a normal yoga studio setting.
