Claudia Rodas

Claudia Rodas is the founder of ClaRoFitness.  She is a certified fitness trainer and group exercise instructor.  Claudia is licensed to teach a variety of formats including:  Pilates, TRX®, Barre, Body Pump and all modalities of the Zumba Fitness Program such as:  Zumba®, Zumba® Toning, Aqua Zumba®, Zumba® Gold and Strong by Zumba®.

Claudia has also created her own fitness programs such as 3XTREME, Rope Fitness, and Instru-mentally (a Senior Fitness Program).  She has spent years in the fitness industry teaching classes in the San Francisco Bay Area.  While focusing on a variety of fitness formats, Claudia has also spent a lot of time developing her skills and crafting her ability to teach and satisfy clients ranging in ages from 4 to 96.  Her passion is teaching her students and educating other instructors to deliver successful fitness classes.  Whether instructing or mentoring, Claudia’s message to all is to exercise and follow proper eating habits to achieve healthy living, happiness and longevity.

Janet Cordova

Janet Cordova became a fitness enthusiast when she began attending Claudia Rodas’ Zumba classes in 2010.  In 2014, she decided to take her Zumba journey a bit further by becoming a Zumba instructor herself.  Since then, she has attended 6 International Zumba Instructor conventions and become licensed to teach additional Zumba formats: Zumba® Toning, Aqua Zumba®, Zumba® Gold, Zumba® Sentao and Strong by Zumba®.  She has recently obtained certifications in GroupEx and TRX®.  Janet is passionate about teaching and enjoys helping others achieve their fitness goals.

Luchi Boyle

My formula to success is a combination of passion and consistency, with an emphasis on passion.  I believe love for health and fitness is contagious, and I bring it to each session.

Chitra Phatak

I grew up in India and have lived in various parts of the world over the last 25 years.  I have always enjoyed dancing for fun and performed during school and college days.  I am an engineer by education and have a successful career in business management.  Physical fitness has always been a passion of mine.  I used to be a Gymnast, and then an avid hiker and runner all my adult life.  I continued dancing, and always appreciated what a great workout it can be!

However, I travelled extensively for work, and for years could not find time for any instructor-led classes in a gym.  Last 6 years or so, I decided to reduce the travel and I really enjoyed working out with others.  Dance fitness got such great results for me, I became a Zumba instructor.  While my day job is something else, leading a class totally recharges me!

When came I across BollyX, it instantly clicked.  I grew up with this music and loved the BollyX choreography!!  I look forward to sharing my love and passion for this music and fitness format to help others meet their fitness goals in a fun, silly, "Bollywood" way :-).  Those in San Francisco who are always seeking a variety in their fitness regime (just like me) - Drop in for one of my classes, and experience it for yourself!

Teresa Yanga

I learned that exercise could be fun after discovering group exercise classes.  It was far more fun to be dancing in an aerobics class than working out by myself on a cardio machine or using equipment at the gym.  Then after finding a Zumba class at my workplace, I found Zumba classes were like a big dance party that I didn’t even notice that I was losing weight and getting toned and stronger.


I then wanted to share my enthusiasm for group exercise by becoming a group exercise instructor.  First I became a Zumba instructor and then got licensed to teach almost every Zumba format available, from Zumba Gold and Zumba Toning to Strong Nation by Zumba.


Wanting to challenge myself to learn other exercise formats with a focus on technique and form, I became a certified Les Mills BODYPUMP instructor.  I truly enjoyed learning how to teach my participants how to use proper form and good technique to get their best workout without injuries.  I also became a certified Les Mills BODYCOMBAT and CXWORX instructor to provide martial art-inspired cardio and core conditioning workouts.  I am also an ACE-certified group exercise instructor.
