BARRE FITNESS

Barre class is named for the primary piece of equipment:  the barre, as we all home we use a Chair as a substitute for the barre.  If you’ve ever been in a ballet studio, this piece of equipment will be familiar.  You’ll also use other equipment, like a mat — which you’re familiar with if you’ve ever tried yoga — or free weights.  You can pick how heavy you want your weights to be, and your instructor will walk you through the proper use of each piece of equipment.  They’ll explain how you can integrate the equipment into the class to get the best workout possible.

Equipment for this class:

Ballet Barre / Chair, a pair of weights, and chair

YOGA FLOW

Can benefit those who need to chill out and de-stress, and it can also be used as part of your rest-day self-care.  “Taking time to relax in a restorative/flow yoga class can have a huge impact on an athlete or regular workout person.

Equipment for this class:  Only mat

FOAM ROLLING

Foam rolling is a way of massaging away muscle soreness in trigger points, and preparing your muscles for deeper stretching.  Myofascial release in foam roll classes is based on the fact that loosening up the connective tissues increases muscle flexibility, in addition to reducing pain.

Medium (blue) or high density (black) foam roller and mat

POP PILATES

POP Pilates is a strength and flexibility workout and can be done in bare feet on nothing but a yoga mat or the floor.  There's absolutely no equipment needed (other than the mat), because all of the resistance work is done using your own bodyweight.
